India fall one place in the last FIFA ranking list to 104 back
ZURICH (SWITZERLAND): The Indian football team has dropped by one place to 104 FIFA rankings which were unveiled on Thursday.
Blue Tigers play regularly since the Intercontinental Cup 2019 in July. The team last played in the second round of the preliminary round qualifier for the World Cup 2022 and the AFC Asian Cup 2023.
India plays alongside Oman, Qatar, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in Group E of the qualifying tournament.
Qatar's ranking has not changed and the team occupies the 62nd place.
Oman's 2-1 victory over India has given them three places to reach 84th place.
Belgium maintained its top position in the ranking, while France overtook Brazil to finish second.
India will face Bangladesh on 20 October in the qualifying tournament for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
After the game against Bangladesh, the team will play against Afghanistan on 14 November.
